Contribute to the operational effectiveness of the Division by ensuring inventory accuracy of the warehouse.
Ensure warehouse inventory correctly reflects actual sellable product on hand.
Use AS400 to print necessary count sheets and reports.
Use AS400 to update inventory to reflect counts.
Meet cycle count schedule as set out by Operations Manager.
Resolve inventory discrepancies as they are found.
Remove damaged stock from inventory.
Restack or reorganize stock to obtain accurate stock counts.
Identify stock that is not moving and report to Operations Manager.
Identify stock that has potential for damage and resolve the issue.
Identify receiving issues and report to Operations Manager.
Follow proper safety procedures and perform all job duties in a safe manner.
Keep the floor neat and clean and the stock orderly.
Clean and organize work area after every shift
Assist warehouse staff from other areas when possible.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
One year of experience working in a warehouse.
Forklift, reach truck and Picker Certification
AS400 experience preferred.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Basic math, reading and writing skills.
Strong organizational skills; ability to communicate at all levels of organization and with employees of other companies, and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
High level of accuracy and detail oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Ability to operate lift equipment, reach trucks, etc.
Ability to move stock using a hand truck or pallet jack.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds or more waist high on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an
Knowledge of basic computer operation including the use of keyboards and standard user interface (Windows).
Warehouse and shipping dock environment, working in all weather conditions.
Overtime, weekends, and participation in annual physical inventory required.
Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
